Infrastructure, superstructure, and electromechanical works (including signalling, telecommunication, power supply systems, catenary and TPS systems, passenger information, announcements, access control, SCADA, ventilation, and fire control systems) are collectively executed in railway, large industrial buildings, and airport applications. In the management of such complex projects, two main challenges arise:

Given the impossibility for the contractor to employ experienced personnel for all electromechanical systems, the planning, design, and timely completion of various works concurrently pose a challenge in every project.
The interfaces between different disciplines are incomplete and inaccurate, as various suppliers make efforts to safeguard their own budgets. This results in a system that does not effectively perform all functions.

Solution: The management of such large and complex projects should be entrusted to a dedicated professional team rather than multidisciplinary vendors.
