Gaziray Project, Electrification, Signalling, and Telecommunication Systems Construction Work

  • The  construction of the electrification, signalling and communication systems on the railway line between Baspinar and Oduncular, which is approximately 25,5 km long, consisting of 4 lines in total, 2 of which are high speed train lines and 2 of which are suburban lines, with 3 high speed train stations and 16 suburban stations, was undertaken by Elsitel as the main contractor.

  • The main systems designed and installed within the scope of the project are as follows:

  • Wayside Signaling, Train Positioning and Point Machine Systems

  • GSM-R System

  • IP MPLS Transmission System
  • Telephone and Passenger Information Systems

  • CTC And Local Control Centers
  • Catenary System
  • 1 Traction Power Substation With 2×40 MVA, 154 kV / 27,5 kV Transformers
  • The main systems designed and installed within the scope of signalling works of the project are as follows:

  • Power Distribution System in Technical Buildings : 16 Stations + 1 CTC Centre

  • Signal : 170 pieces

  • Track Circuit : 410 pieces

  • Signal Cables : 823 Km
  • Power Cables : 41 Km

  • Communication Cables : 179 Km

  • Indoor – outdoor telephones : 182 pieces
  • The main systems designed and installed within the scope of electrification works of the project are as follows:

  • Catenary control center (Telekomand)
  • Steel catenary masts, (1.430 pieces)
  • Construction of foundations of the catenary poles and anchorages

  • Contact wire, 120 mm2, CuAg 0,1 (130 km)
  • Messenger Wire 70 Bz II (130 km)
  • Return Conductor OSTRICH 176,9 mm2 Al/St

  • Feeder conductors

  • Cantilevers (made of aluminium pipes)

  • All catenary materials and accessories, including droppers, Y ropes, mipoint anchors, automatic tensioning devices for main line and for tunnels, etc.

  • Section isolators

  • Neutral zones, station posts, turnout posts

  • Disconnectors, circuit breakers, protection devices

  • Connection to the transformer substations
