Bandırma-Bursa-Yenişehir-Osmaneli High Standardized Railway Electrification Systems, Construction of Catenary Systems and Substation Centers

  • Bandırma Bursa Osmaneli Yenişehir line has been constructed in accordance with a speed of 250 km/h and the route length is 201 kilometres. In addition, it is planned that high speed passenger trains will operate at a maximum speed of 200 km/h and freight trains at a maximum speed of 100 km/h.

  • Elsitel has undertaken the construction of the catenary systems of the first phase of the 57 km double track Bursa-Yenişehir line section.

  • The systems to be installed within the scope of the project are as follows:

  • Steel catenary masts, H profile, 2.500 tonnes (3.846 pieces)

  • Construction of foundations of the catenary poles and anchorages

  • Contact wire, 120 mm2, CuAg 0,1 (206 km)

  • Messenger Wire 70 Bz II (206 km)

  • Return Conductor OSTRICH 176,9 mm2 Al/St

  • Feeder conductors

  • Cantilevers (made of aluminium pipes)
  • All catenary materials and accessories, including droppers, Y ropes, mipoint anchors, automatic tensioning devices for main line and for tunnels, etc.

  • Section isolators

  • Neutral zones, station posts, turnout posts

  • Disconnectors, circuit breakers, protection devices

  • Connection to the transformer substations
